My mission with CLG is to create a tool that makes it easier to live responsibly. Treating yourself and the world with equal care encompasses what you eat, how you think and where you invest your money.
It may or may not seem unusual for a blogger to share recipes and products as well as address issues of spirituality, but these three life components naturally function as an interwoven ecosystem. Without a solid compass from which to operate it’s difficult to make heart-centered decisions.
Lead by a grounded self, you’ll eat healthier, think healthier and make buying decisions that will help to make you a steward of our planet.
The goal with this collection of recipes is to liberate you. I want to help you feel confident in buying what’s fresh and seasonal knowing that you’ll be able to easily throw together a delicious and healthy meal with what’s available to you! Because if you’re reliant on cookbooks that require planning, chances are you’re not cooking for yourself most days.
The premise is simple. Mix and match basic veggie preparations with an easy meat or main dish and dress it up with a rotation of fresh, nutrient-rich homemade sauces and dressings. Use the “Filter By Food” menu or search field located on the left sidebar to search for specific ingredients.
My recipes are layered with textures and flavors that will excite your palate, and food combinations that will deeply nourish your body. This collection of recipes will help you foster healthy eating habits, that feel anything but like a “diet”.
All my recipes are gluten free. Some are dairy free, vegetarian and even vegan. Some recipes involve animal protein and healthy fats, such as raw butter and coconut oil. I largely draw on Mediterranean, Mexican and Eastern European flavors. You will love my cooking if your mouth waters at the thought of cumin, figs and mint!
Most of the product I feature is made by small scale producers and artisans. You’ll find that I often include background on the evolution of the company and the founder’s process in creating their business. I find that as interesting as the product itself and hope you enjoy learning about these incredible folks too.

My policy takes green standards to an extreme. Many companies that produce and sell ‘ecological’ products are only green insofar as to reduce carbon emissions, but still contain many chemicals that are harmful to people, animals and our environment. My curated selection of products will always be as safe for people as they are for the planet.

Mietek lost 12 pounds and stabilized his blood sugar at a 20 point drop two weeks into the program. All this on full fat diet that included lots of fresh and lacto-fermented vegetables, healthy fats and oils, whole heritage grains, pastured meats and eggs.
