A while back a friend introduced me to Tilvee while raving about how much she loved her new face cream. I decided to try these Tilvee oil samples along with a couple creams. Tilvee doesn’t have an official eye cream, but I was assured that the oils, or one of the creams, could be safely used around the eyes. I’m an adventurous kinda gal, so I gave it a shot.
One of my favorite aspects of using oils is the often enlivening quality of their natural aromas. The Argan based oil is musky and sweet, with hints of Bergamont and citrus. It goes on very light and leaves my oily/ dry combo skin feeling moisturized, but not greasy. It also works well around the eyes. After using it night and day for about a week, the area around my eyes felt moisturized but not weighed down as it has with some eye creams. I haven’t used the oil for long enough to confirm the claims of its reducing fine lines or improving elasticity, but heartily recommend it.
Oils come in what seems like tiny volumes, but because they are the ultra distilled essence of the active ingredients, they can be used sparingly with greater results. One ounce should last for about a month if used daily on the entire face.
The Rejuvenating oil has a citrus based aroma that has an astringent like quality. I enjoyed it’s bright and fresh scent, but I much prefer the complicated musk infused tapestry of Bergamont, Ylang Ylang and Argan. The feel of this oil is also quite light on the skin, but somewhat less moisturizing than the Argan oil. Overall, I would opt for the Argan oil when buying these again.
